Admission Process

Admission is open to state subjects and children of Central Govt. Employees, Army and Para- Military Personnel posted in J&K State.

The admission schedule is announced every year containing detailed information and is published in the local newspaper much earlier than the start of admissions.

Students seeking admission in B.Com. Part-I shall apply on printed application forms (available in the college). They will attach one attested copy of the marks sheet of the Higher Secondary Part-II or equivalent examination and where applicable, an attested copy of category certificate as per SRO 126 of 94.

On receipt of applications, selection lists shall be drawn on the basis of merit (% age of marks obtained in class 12).

Students belonging to the reserved categories as listed in SRO 126 dated 28-06-1994 shall get additional weight age of 5% marks.

6(a)

A merit list of the candidates selected shall be put on the college notice board. The selected candidates shall then fill in and submit the proper admission forms. The forms duly filled in and signed by the parents or guardian, shall be submitted to the college office on or before the expiry of the last date, notified separately. The applicants who do not submit the admission form with all the requisite certificates attached therewith and do not deposit the fee within the time limit prescribed, shall be dropped from the merit list. The next meritorious applicants shall be considered for admission.

(b)

Admission to a particular subject or combination of subjects, is purely subject to the availability of seats.

(c)

The principal reserves the right to accept or reject any application deemed not fit for admission without assigning any reason.

7(a)

The following certificates, testimonials etc. must be attached with the admission form.

(b)

Provisional Certificates (in original) issued by the institution last attended.

(c)

Marks certificates of the class last passed (original and two attested copies).

(d)

Character certificate issued by the Head of the Institution last attended.

(e)

In the case of private candidates, their character certificate should be signed by a First Class Magistrate/ Professor of the College/ Panchayat Sarpanch/ MLA concerned/ SHO.

(f)

Three similar copies of a recent passport size photograph.

(g)

Matriculation Certificate (original) and two attested copies.

(h)

Transfer certificate of father or guardian in case of children of military/ Para Military personal or Central Govt. Employees.

(i)

Reserved category certificate from the competent authority as stated in SRO-126 Dated 28-06- 1994 (original and two attested copies).

(j)

Students passing from School Board or Universities other than J&K Board of School Education or Jammu University are required to produce a migration certificate and two attested copies there of.
